What inspired you to start cycling? I just always liked to ride a bike. 

Favourite place to ride and why? I love Calpe, Spain. It has beautiful weather. 

Favourite post-ride meal? Pasta with olive oil and parmesan cheese.

What are your favourite Direct Nutrition products? Elite hydrate Orange and Elite Protein Bar with Cacao and Chocolate Chip.

What is it about the Direct Nutrition products that you like? The Elite Hydrate allows me to have proper hydration of the body during the long hard races. Being properly hydrates is critical. I use the Elite protein bar energy bars during races. They have perfectly preserved the balance of protein and carbohydrates.

What is your advice to anyone who wants to become a professional racer? Be hard and systematic with your work. It works. 

Who is your cycling hero and why? Fabian Cancellara. I like his style. 

Do you have a nickname? If so what is it and why is it that? No.

How do you take your coffee? Latte, flat white, espresso etc... Double espresso with a little milk.

Favourite music? I am a fan of all music. 

Favourite film? The Shawshank Redemption. 

Favourite race and why? Paris–Roubaix . Race for riders with strong character.

What has been your proudest moment on the bike? This was during the Tour of Portugal in 2013 as the hard work we did allowed Manuel Cardoso to win the stage. 

What was your first bike? It was the bike for children and was orange! 

Have you got a secret skill or party-piece? If so what is it? No. 

What would your go to karaoke song be? I have no idea. I can’t sing! 

Most embarrassing moment on your bike? During training I caught 6 flat tires. OMG! 

If you weren't a cyclist what would you be doing instead? Probably a maths teacher. 

What is the one thing in the world you couldn't live without? Hehehe my bike! 

If you could have one super power what would it be? Flying. 

Would you rather have more time or more money? More money.
